MICHAEL MORPURGO

Michael Morpurgo has written over one hundred books and all are stunning reads. He was born on October 5th 1943 in Hertfordshire. many of his books have been made into films or plays. his 100th book private and peaceful was first published in 2003 and was made into a play in 2004.His favourite animal is an elephant and he enjoys reading books by his favourite authors Rudyard Kipling, Robert Louis Stevenson and Ted Hughes. Michael Morpurgo set up "farms for city children" in 1976 This charity gives children who are from the city an opportunity to live and work together for a week at a time on a real farm in the countryside.
